Listen Pray Care
Listen Pray Care Explained.
It started as an idea. A better way of loving one another. Now it is more of a movement, inspiring people to greater acts of love when they gather. Hear our backstory in this video, and how it makes a difference.
Breaking it down.
A simple way of practicing love-one-another in every gathering, every time. Easy to teach. Easy to learn. Powerful.
Groups.
First, break into very small groups. We suggest “micro-groups” of two or three people. Each person takes a turn.
Someone may wish to opt out. Simply say, “pass”. And move on to the next person.
Listen.
Start with Person #1 sharing what is on their heart—ups and downs—while the others actively listen.
Pray.
Next. Moving to the left, Person #2 prays a short prayer for Person #1. Then Person #2 shares what is on their heart, and Person #3 prays for Person #2. And so on.
Care.
After everyone has had a turn, discuss ways to care for one another. Follow-up contact information may be shared using LPC Care Cards.

Based on Scripture
The Bible is the foundation for the teachings and practice of Listen Pray Care. At the heart of the Listen Pray Care Project is Jesus’ command to love one another recorded in John 13:35.
Love is at the core of the message of the Bible. Here are some of the key verses: Deuteronomy 7:9, Psalm 136:1-3, Matthew 22:36-39, John 3:16, Romans 12:10, Ephesians 4:16, Ephesians 5:1-2, 1 John 4:8.
